The Trend October 07 2011, 0 Comments
The trend from the Paris show held in the Spring, is the use of reclaimed woods , limed oak , natural woods and painted woods.
This has been around for centuries in countries like Belgium and Sweden , and a look that Restoration Hardware made famous.
The new Annie Sloan colours French Linen and Coco will help you achieve this look.
French Linen: French linen is a cool neutral grey inspired by the bleached deep neutrals of old pieces of French and Italian furniture. It works beautifully with golds and a range of rich and bright colours such as Emile and Emperors's Silk.
When I took the workshop this summer we combined it with Cocoa and Old White to create a beautiful driftwood . A coat of clear wax and brushed lightly with dark wax.
Cocoa: Is a warmed grey brown, the colour found in Old French furniture.
Until next time
